Fortinet a leading network security provider and worldwide
leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions – today announced the
appointment of Jitendra Ghughal as Channel Manager for the Indian Subcontinent
covering countries such as
India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh
and Nepal.
In his new role, Jitendra Ghughal will manage the Fortinet
Partner program (FPP) and focus on enhancing the number of Fortinet Certified
Network Security Professionals (FCNSP) in the region. He will also be
responsible for initiating and driving programs to improve Fortinet’s “renewal”
and runrate business as well as expand Fortinet’s channel footprint and business
opportunity across the region.
Ghughal brings more than 14 years of in-depth network
security industry and channel experience. His last position was general manager
at Ingram Micro, Fortinet’s exclusive distributor in
India, for six years.
Previously, he also held management positions in business/product and sales at
Tech Pacific and Godrej Pacific respectively.
“Jitendra brings with him an excellent understanding of the channel needs and
expectations and I have no doubt that he will quickly become a valuable asset to
the team,” said Vishak Raman, regional director for SAARC at Fortinet. “With him
onboard, we will be able to enhance Fortinet’s channel experience in the region
and further drive the execution of the Fortinet Partner Program, with a
particular focus on high-end partners. All in all, he will help accelerate our
penetration of the large enterprises market.”
Ghughal has completed graduate studies in engineering and
later, in management at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in
Bangalore. He has also
managed a strong portfolio of security and storage vendors as part of his
channel management experience, such as Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, Fortinet,
Juniper, IBM-ISS, Hitachi Data Systems, Quantum, Tandberg and EMC.
