announced the launch of 2GB DDR3-1333 MHz 240-pin DIMMs for both Desktops &
Notebooks, targeted towards power users including gamers, animators, graphic

DDR3 is the successor to DDR2 Memory, and is expected to soon become the
industry standard for PC Memory Modules. Compared to DDR2, it offers faster
transfer speeds and better bandwidth with an 8-bit as opposed to 4-bit prefetch

range is 200–400 MHz based on a 100–200 MHz I/O clock.
DDR3 Modules have 240 pins, the same number as DDR2, and are the same size, but
are electrically incompatible and have a different key notch location.
