Today
announced that IT veteran Amit Chatterjee has been appointed Vice President,
Area Sales and Country Manager, CA India effective May 4, 2009.
Bringing more than 22 years’ industry experience to the Company, Chatterjee will
report to CA Asia Pacific & Japan Corporate SVP & General Manager Gavin Selkirk
and will serve on the Company’s regional Leadership Team to help formulate and
execute regional strategy.
Today’s news follows the appointments of Indian IT statesmen Saurabh Srivastava
as CA India Chairman, and William Bauman as Senior Vice President and General
Manager of the India Technology Center in Hyderabad.
Chatterjee previously was Head of Alliances for HP Software across Asia Pacific
and Japan after serving as HP Software’s India Country Leader for more than
seven years. Earlier in his career, he spent two years with Microland and 11
years with HCL Infosystems. He holds a BE (Mechanical) degree from NIT (then
VRCE) Nagpur and an MDP from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
“India holds tremendous potential for CA in terms of market expansion and
partnership opportunities, and as a source of research and development, so I am
delighted that we have been able to recruit an industry veteran of Amit’s
caliber to be India Country Manager,” said Selkirk. “This, our third major
appointment in India in just over two months, places CA India in an excellent
position to pursue our R&D, sales and business development objectives.”
Chatterjee succeeds Ninad Karpe, who left CA earlier this year after 11 years
with the Company to take up a leadership position in a global training
organization. |
