launch and availability of a new software product – Locate Laptop powered by
proprietary WebSniff technology. A product developed in-house by Unistal through
extensive research and development at its facilities over the years, Locate
Laptop can locate reportedly stolen laptops leveraging on the World Wide Web and
also help organizations in tracking the employees’ movement around the world.

computers. It resides and operates in stealth mode. They may login to their
web-based Personal Tracking and Monitoring Page to view and trace where their
laptop has been accessed from.
In an event of theft or loss,
they need to report to Unistal's emergency response team or login to their
Personal Tracking and Monitoring Page and submit the theft/loss. This activates
Locate Laptop's proprietary WebSniff technology and alerts as soon as the
offender connects to the Internet. The city and IP address are informed to the
user. It keeps tracking all the locations whenever the offender connects to the
Internet. With the help of local law enforcement authorities users can retrieve
their laptop.
With the help of WebSniff the
IT department has access to their computer asset base whether on the LAN or
connected via the Internet. It adds visibility to the 40% of computers that go
unseen by traditional LAN based IT asset management systems. WebSniff enables to
locate and report on the activities of computers that have drifted within
organization, have gone missing or have been used for unauthorized activities.
